Heat Loss Assessments

Asides from demonstrating compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations, SAP Calculations are also a valuable tool for accurately assessing the heat demand of existing properties. This is particularly useful if you are installing a heat pump in your property as it enables the unit to be accurately sized in order to ensure optimum performance.

EPS Group are vastly experienced in undertaking onsite SAP surveys and associated calculations for the purpose of sizing heat pumps. We work alongside several Heat Pump Installers, including a major blue-chip company for whom we have undertaken several hundred surveys across a range of social housing projects throughout the country.

Upon completion of our SAP Calculations , we are able to provide your installer with the following information:

• •  Heat loss parameter (W/m 2 K)
• •  (Monthly) Heat loss (W/m 2 )

During the course of our surveys, we are also accustomed to identifying additional low cost improvements that could be undertaken within a property as a means of increasing the overall energy efficiency and therefore reducing the demand of any new heat ing system.
